FOR ORGANIZATIONS

Workplace Crisis, Grief & Critical Incident Support

Responsive, on-site mental health support for organizations following a sudden death, serious accident, or traumatic workplace event.

When something tragic happens at work, leaders are often managing two things at once: their own response to what happened and the responsibility of helping an entire team through it.

Menachem Psychotherapy Group provides responsive, on-site mental health support following sudden loss, serious accidents, and other critical incidents affecting employees and leadership.

The goal in the immediate aftermath is not to force people to talk or process an experience before they are ready. It is to create a calm, supportive environment where employees can receive support, understand common reactions to grief and trauma, and determine what they need next.

TIMELY, THOUGHTFUL CARE

When We Can Help

Organizations may reach out following events such as:

Sudden Loss

Sudden death of an employee or colleague

Serious Accidents

Fatal or serious workplace accidents

Witnessed Events

Traumatic events witnessed by employees

Team-Wide Loss

Unexpected loss affecting a close-knit team

Critical Incidents

Workplace violence or other critical incidents

Leadership Guidance

Situations where leadership is unsure how best to support staff

Support can begin in the immediate aftermath of an incident and continue as an organization moves through the days and weeks that follow.

ONSITE MENTAL HEALTH SUPPORT

How We Support Your Team

01

On-Site Individual Support

Brief, confidential one-on-one support for employees during the workday. Sessions can help employees stabilize, understand acute grief and stress reactions, learn practical grounding strategies, and identify whether additional care may be helpful.

02

Facilitated Team Support

Small-group support gives employees who experienced a loss together an opportunity to acknowledge what happened, understand different responses to grief and trauma, and support one another without pressure to speak or grieve in any particular way.

03

Leadership Consultation

Executives and managers are often responsible for supporting everyone else while also being affected themselves. We help leadership think through employee communication, workplace reactions, difficult conversations, return-to-work concerns, and appropriate follow-up.

04

Follow-Up Care

The impact of a traumatic event does not necessarily end after the first few days. Follow-up can include returning onsite, additional employee check-ins, team groups, leadership consultation, and referrals for ongoing individual treatment when appropriate.

WHAT TO EXPECT

A Response Built Around Your Organization

1

Leadership Consultation

We first speak with leadership or HR to understand what happened, who has been affected, and what support is needed.

2

On-Site Response

Support may include individual employee meetings, facilitated groups, psychoeducation, leadership consultation, and immediate emotional support.

3

Assessment & Referral

Employees who may need more support can be connected with appropriate resources or ongoing treatment.

4

Follow-Up

We can return in the days or weeks that follow as employees and leadership move through the longer-term impact of the event.

GUIDANCE FOR DECISION-MAKERS

Support for Leadership

In the aftermath of a tragedy, employees naturally look toward leadership for stability. At the same time, executives and managers may be grieving, shocked, or struggling themselves.

We work directly with leadership before, during, and after an on-site response to help determine what employees need and how the organization can respond thoughtfully.

  • Communicating with employees after a death or traumatic event
  • Understanding common workplace reactions to grief and trauma
  • Responding to employees who are struggling
  • Balancing compassion with the practical needs of the organization
  • Planning follow-up support
  • Supporting executives and managers who were personally affected

CONTINUITY MATTERS

Direct, Personal Response

When an organization is dealing with a tragedy, continuity matters.

Rather than being routed through a large national provider network, organizations working with Menachem Psychotherapy Group have direct access to the clinician coordinating their response. That allows support to evolve as the needs of employees and leadership change.

Responsive

Urgent requests may be accommodated quickly based on availability.

Personal

Work directly with an experienced clinician rather than being passed between providers.

Ongoing

Support can continue beyond the initial response when additional help is needed.

ONGOING SUPPORT

Support Beyond the Immediate Crisis

Sometimes an organization's needs continue after the immediate aftermath of a loss or traumatic event.

Menachem Psychotherapy Group also offers ongoing Embedded Workplace Mental Health programs, giving employees and leadership recurring access to clinical support.
